Obituary

Ansara, Katherine Lee

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Katherine Lee Ansara Treuman. Kathy passed peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Tuesday, August 30th, 2022. Kathy was born in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec on July 24th, 1946, to John & Virgina Ansara (Adado). She was predeceased by her darling husband, Charly and her parents, John & Ginny. Kathy lived life to the fullest and will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, her laughter and her amazing cooking. She was always happy in the kitchen and loved to share her food with friends, family and neighbours. Kathy adored travelling to sunny places and made many friends on her journey through life. Kathy is survived by her sister Brenda (Kelly), brother John (Sharon), and her brother Harry (Nouhad). She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends in the USA and Canada. Thank you to Dr. Lilly and the staff at Blue Water Health for their incredible kindness and care. Details about a Celebration of Life will be provided at a later date. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Katherine’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com.

Condolences

Condolences to all the loved ones, and in particular to Harry Ansara. I grew up in Noranda, Quebec 1970s, and remember my mother Pearl Webber Cahill was friends with Harry Ansara. I wondered what happened to the family when they left Noranda.

Mary Cahill

My sincere condolences to Brenda, John and Harry on the passing of your beautiful, dynamic sister, Kathy. Fun, life of any party, kind, best cook ever since Sitto, bargain hunter, energetic and efficient are just a few of the words to describe Kathy on any given day. Cancer took her way too quickly. There was always something exciting that Kathy had to relate. Rest in peace Kath, you will surely be missed

Susan MacMillan

Kathy will be missed greatly. We started as neighbours and quickly became friends. Our sincere condolences. There will be forever a void, never to be filled .

Matthew and Debbie DiBrita

I have fond memories of Kathy when we were in Grade 9 at Noranda High. Rest in peace Kathy.
