Lorraine (LeNeve) Butler passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Vision Nursing Home in Sarnia surrounded by family. Lorraine was the beloved wife and best friend of Dr. Edward “Ted” Butler for 63 years. She was the loving mother of Heather (Patrick), Gerry (Rosemary), Lynn (Rob), Rick (Sherree), beloved grandmother of Jessica (Jesse), Marianne (John), Jeremy (Amanda), Justin (Tara), Devin (Zoe), and Blake, and Adoring great grandmother to Lorraine, Benjamin, Roland, Cassidy and Nash. Lorraine had a long and fulfilling career as the Executive Assistant to the director of Sarnia General Hospital. Lorraine was an active member of Central United Church where she was head of many committees. She was a devoted Sarnian serving her community in many volunteer positions, including sitting on boards for the YMCA and the Woman’s Interval Home. For many years she and Ted treasured their annual vacations with friends and family at Fern Resort. Ted and Lorraine shared a passion for collecting and refurbishing antiques. Lorraine will be deeply missed by all. Appreciation to the staff at Vision Nursing home for their compassionate care of Lorraine. Cremation has taken place. The immediate family will be gathering privately to celebrate the life of Lorraine.
